Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy talked about the trade rumors that were swirling around him after practice and shutting them down.
“I talked to Sean (McDermott) and Brandon (Beane) and said that that’s not on the radar, and that’s not in their plans.”
There have been trade talks around Shady’s name. He’s the best player on the offense, if not the team. He’s been tweeting and posting pictures on Instagram throughout the past couple days, throwing shade at the rumors.
Then after, McCoy gave his thoughts on Colin Kaepernick, and it was well put.
Shady said teams may not like Kaepernick because of the national anthem protests, but the biggest issue is that he’s not good enough to be worth bringing in that distraction to a team.
McCoy: “That may have something to do with but I think it also has a lot to do with his play. I’m sure a lot of teams wouldn’t want him as their starting quarterback. Then it’s the chaos that comes with it. It’s a lot. A team’s trying to win and not have a distraction on a team. As a player, there’s certain players that can be on a team with big distractions, and other players, they’re not good enough that it’s worth it. I think his situation is, not good enough to have on a team with all the attention that comes along with it. I’m sure if a guy like Brady or a guy like, whoever is your favorite player, Odell Beckham or a guy like that…..you’ll deal with that attention and play him. With certain guys, it’s not worth it.”
He then talked about Mike Vick and said that all with what Vick went through, it was still worth having him, when he was with the Eagles.
Shady did bring up great points, in talking about Kaep, I don’t think he’s worth the distraction either for being just a backup quarterback. Many might disagree with me that he may be good enough to start on a few NFL teams. In my opinion, I think he once was very good and then something happened to where he wasn’t. Will someone want to take on Kaepernick and what he brings? That remains to be seen.
