The Buffalo Bills take on the Baltimore Ravens from M&T Bank Stadium Saturday night. This will be the Bills third preseason game, a dress rehearsal for the regular season. The starters will play the most they will play off Preseason long, most likely the whole first half and a few series of the third quarter.
Here’s what you should watch for tomorrow night.
Tyrod Taylor: The Bills starting quarterback struggled last week in Philadelphia. This will be the biggest sample we will see for Tyrod running this offense so far. He’s been up and down this training camp. This will be a nice opportunity to get into rhythm and try to establish some chemistry with his wide receivers.
Keep your best player healthy: The Bills have to keep their best player healthy in running back LeSean McCoy healthy. McCoy once again, has showed the signs of brilliance this summer. Give Shady a couple runs then get him out.
Ducasse vs. Miller: It will a battle for the right guard spot as Vladimir Ducasse gets the start instead of John Miller. While Miller has been the better guard overall, apparently the Bills don’t agree. Ducasse has had a number of struggles this Summer, the only thing I can see is that offensive coordinator Rick Dennison feels that he is a better fit for the run blocking scheme this offense runs. It will be a position to watch when the offense takes the field.
Defense continuing to get better: This defense has been a bright spot this whole Preseason and I would expect another strong outing Saturday night. Stopping the run has been a strength so fun, unlike last year. Getting to the passer has been another good sign as well.
Defense continued: The second starting quarterback spot is still up for grabs. Kevin Seymour, EJ Gaines and Shareece Wright will all be fighting for that starting spot. Leonard Johnson is trying to secure the main slot corner positon, ahead of Seymour. watch out for wildcard corner Greg Maybin as he’s trying to make the roster. The linebacker position is getting clearer as Preston Brown is getting better. Also, can Ramon Humber keep his play going? Where will Ragland be playing and how long?
