Hockey is back!
The Buffalo Sabres take on the New Jersey Devils from HarborCenter in the prospects challenge.

1st Period: It’s going to be a long night for Will Butcher, the first time he’s touching the puck, Buffalo fans boo him.
High intense shifts to start. Guhle flying up and down the ice.
Justin Bailey also using his speed. He had a bad pass early in this hockey game.
Buffalo penalty to Brandon Havel at 4:23.
Nico Hischier had the best chance of the 1st, but a nice block by Guhle saves the penalty kill.
Devils goal: Cangelosi to Kujawinski and it’s 1-0. New Jersey is dominating puck possession. Sabres struggling passing the puck.
The Sabres defense continues to struggle. They seem flat footed.
Sabres off to the power play. Cliff Pu ties it up and the crowd here at HarborCenter yells “Puuuuuu”
End of the first and it’s 1-1.
The Sabres have been outplayed but still tied in this hockey game. Need to see better passing in the 2nd and better defense.
2nd Period: Quenneville with tripping, power play for Buffalo: the Sabres are moving the puck better on this PP, a lot of speed and bodies to net.
Devils goal by Ryan Kujawinski to make 2-1 with 13:20 left in the period.
Sabres penalty to Austin Osmanski for interference at 10:03.
Colin Blackwell scores from Hudson Fasching and CJ Smith to tie this game up. They Sabres have been gradually gaining more puck possession.
End of the 2nd and we are all tied at 2. The Sabres outshoot the Devils this period, but most importantly better possession and passing. New Jersey giving up power play time to the Sabres. Buffalo needs to capitalize on these opportunities.
3rd period underway and Sabres take a penalty. Vaclav Karabaeck to the bin for tripping. Buffalo’s penalty kill has been a strength all game long.
Sabres take a 3-2 lead as Colin Blackwell scores his second of the game. Daniel Muzito-Bagenda with the beautiful pass and gets an assist.
We are tied at 3 in hat trick style with 3:21 left in regulation.
Off to overtime
Kapla wins it for Jersey. Devils win 4-3.
