With the loss of Brian Gionta, we have been talking all Summer on who will be the next captain of the Buffalo Sabres. That’s going to have to wait a little longer.
At the Jack Eichel extension press conference, GM Jason Botterill said “I will not be naming a captain to start off the season.”
Botterill also said they all feel comfortable with the leadership group and will continue to talk to Phil Housley.
