The Buffalo Sabres lose in Pittsburgh in overtime by a score of 5-4.

The Sabres twice had two goals leads and had a 4-3 lead heading into the third.

Here’s what Jack Eichel (goal, assist) had to say at the end of the game.

Eichel: “Eichel on 3rd period: “We played scared to lose, not to win. We have to do it for sixty minutes, we were letting them set up their breakout, they played the whole period in our zone.”

Eichel On game winning goal: “That’s on me, I didn’t pick up Sheary quick enough, he (Crosby) made a quick pass, I wasn’t expecting it, I was still in the midst of a switch there, that’s on me.”
