The Nathan Peterman era begins today as the Buffalo Bills are in Los Angeles to take on the Chargers from StubHub Center.
What to expect from the 5th round rookie? What should we expect to see? Let’s take a look:
Quick throws
That’s Peterman’s bread and butter he will get the ball out quickly to his weapons. He suits what this offense wants to do. Quick throws to get the offense going.
Throwing to playmakers
Expect Peterman to target his weapons. I want him to target Benjamin, Jones and McCoy. Jordan Matthews and Charles Clay are very up in the air. Mike Tolbert isn’t playing in this one, so don’t expect checkdown throws to him.
Decision making
With quick throws comes quick decision making. How will Peterman be in the pocket, going through his progressions? It’s going to be different for him, this isn’t preseason and this isn’t going to be last week ethier.
Taking shots
I know he doesn’t have the best arm, but I expect him to take a couple shots down the field. Unlike Taylor, Peterman shouldn’t be afraid to take some chances.
