Lehner: It’s something against Buffalo

With less than 2 minutes left in the 3rd period, play was stopped by the league office in Toronto to review a goal scored by Josh Bailey.

The goals counted and the game was tied 2-2 and went into overtime. New York ended up winning 3-2.

Robin Lehner made his mind heard at the end:

Lehner: “Toronto already made up their mind it was a goal, that’s how it works in this league, the Bills have that play last game, it’s something against Buffalo, it’s BS.”

Lehner also added he’s frustrated because it was a predetermined goal and the same thing happened to the Sabres in Montreal.

  1. Completely agree! Many many people, people not from Buffalo, have made that observation multiple times whether the Sabres or the Bills. That touchdown last weekend against the Pats was a legitimate touchdown. Last night same thing. Lehner isn’t from Buffalo and his statement is accurate.
