So long, drought

Wow.

The Bills are finally in!

After years of suffering, pain and waiting, the Buffalo Bills are in the playoffs for the first time since 1999.

No more of the word “drought,” or the year “1999.” No longer will we hear that Buffalo has the longest playoff drought in all of professional sports.

Finally.

The Pittsburgh 2004 finale against backups, the Dallas Monday night game, the Sunday night Patriot 56-10 blowout, the Cleveland snow game in 2007, seasons of 6-10, 7-9, 8-8…..all do not matter anymore. It’s dead, it’s the past.

What town, what city, what fan base deserved this more? Nobody.

What a season, people used the words tank, I used the records of 5-11, 6-10.

I was wrong, and I couldn’t be more happier.

Watching all the videos of the fans in the corridors at Hardrock stadium or at 716 and the Bills locker room. How special is that?

The drought officially lasted 17 years, 11 months and 23 days.

So long.
