Buffalo returns to Banditland on a hot streak

By Brandon J. Koch

The Buffalo Bandits sit on top of the East division and have won three in row as they return to Banditland tonight to take on the Georgia Swarm.

Buffalo defeated Nee England last night and is the hottest team in the league. High scoring offense, timely defense and good goaltending have helped contribute to a 5-3 record.

Rookie Josh Byrne is coming into his own. The game in Saskatchewan seems like the turning point. Last night Byrne had 5 points, all 3 of his goals came into the first half.

Dhane Smith led the team with 11 shots and 4 goals. He is the playing like this best player on this lacrosse team.

The Bandits have hit their stride and playing as a total team, can they continue on a back to back?

For the Swarm, this is their first game of a back to back and they are 3-3.

Georgia has a nucleus of 4 scorers: Shayne Jackson, Jesse King, Randy Staats and Lyle Thompson. The problem for the Swarm is secondary scoring and inconsistent defense.

Mike Poulin has played in all 6 games, he has a 12.33 goals against and a .760 save percentage.
