Brandon Beane reiterates what he said back in November, LeSean McCoy is in team’s plans to be back next season.
In his season ending presser, Beane was asked about Shady. Here’s what he said:
On 2019: “He is apart of our plan. It was our entire run game, not just one person. I think if we can improve in other areas that’ll help LeSean.”
“LeSean will come back in 2019.”
On if Shady is done: “I’m not a believer that LeSean is done. If he gets back into form, I think he’s still a weapon.”
On the running game: “Good teams can run the ball. Sometimes our O-line was out of sync. Felt our run game never got into a consistent groove. That’s something we need to be honest about as we make changes.”
McCoy has one year left on his contract and will be 31 on July 12th.
If the Bills decide to release McCoy, according to Spotrac, the team will save $6.4 million and have a dead cap of $2.6.
