Josh Allen was nothing but grateful about how Buffalo has embraced him in his rookie year and excited for what’s to come in 2019.
“It’s awesome. Buffalo is my home now and I’m grateful to be here. I love being a part of this community and the Buffalo Bills organization. It’s not like many places, and I take pride in that in seeing the kind of example that Kyle [Williams] has set forth and how he embraced this city and how I intend to embrace this city. I’m super fortunate to be here.”
On playing his rookie season and what’s to come in the future:
“There was a lot of hard work that went into this,” Allen said. “Obviously, coming into a new situation, rookie quarterback, new offensive coordinator, everybody’s learning the system. Wasn’t the greatest year, we didn’t envision it going like this. I can say that I’m excited for what the future holds and excited to be a part of this team and a part of this franchise.”
Allen wishes the Bills were preparing for a playoff game:
“Not being able to play in the playoffs is awful. I love everything about football except losing. I’m already looking forward to getting back to work our guys.”
On a side note, Allen says wide receivers Zay Jones and Robert Foster would run routes until Allen’s arm was tired. Shows the commitment that the young players have.
