In his conference call with the Buffalo media after the announcement of a contract extension, Bills linebacker Lorenzo Alexander is excited about next year.
On 2019: “We have a great opportunity. We have a young football team. We are going to add some pieces…. There’s no reason we can’t find ourselves in the playoffs…we are closer than what people think. Next year, we can really make a run.”
On the team and leadership: “The team wanted me back. They feel I’m an important part of the team from a leadership role….and for me it was important to get something done early….to know where I was going to be, my kids in school.”
Is next year the last? “If you ask me today, yeah, this is my last year.”
On McDermott: “Having Sean as the head coach made this decision easier.”
The soon to be 36 year-old is expecting big things in 2019 and loves where this franchise is headed.
