Sabres recalled forward C.J. Smith

With down in Rochester after clearing waivers and Johan Larsson hurt, the Sabres have recalled C.J. Smith.

This will be Smith’s second stint in Buffalo after playing in a four game stretch earlier this season, scoring one goal.

Smith brings speed, scoring chances and defensive stability to a Sabres lineup that desperately needs it. In 41 games with Rochester, Smith has 18 goals and 23 assists.

The Sabres have practice this morning, so we will see where Housley puts Smith.
