Who are these Buffalo Sabres?
The Sabres defeat the Devils by a score of 7-2.
The first two games couldn’t have been played better by this team.
Some observations:
Another dominant game: The Sabres took it to the Devils from the start of the opening puck drop. They are playing fundamentally sound.

How about Johansson? He’s looked so comfortable in a Sabre uniform. His passing is on point, his assist on the Skinner goal was a beauty. Solid defensive player as well.
Take a look at how better the Sabres are defensively. They shut down the Devils top lines during 5 on 5 play.

Give credit to the Okposo- Larsson- Girgensons line once again.
I’m impressed with Scandella. I’ll eat crow again. He’s playing good hockey with Henri Jokiharju.

Sabres are moving the puck well, especially in the offensive zone. They’re getting the puck where they want to. Another similar chart to Thursday’s game.

How about that power play? Beautiful puck movement, rarely any hesitation. Oloffson has a cannon.
